If you missed out on the 222 merlot, make sure to get your hands on some of this 223. While we may have started making merlot from the Southern side of Dry Creek Valley, we have fallen in love with the merlot from the Northern side. With higher elevation and slightly warmer temperatures overall, this new site lends itself to a more refined expression of the varietal. Look for a medley of bright blue fruit again this year with a robust finish. This is a wine that you need in your cellar.
