Our second vintage working with Charlie Heintz was not an easy one. Fears of smoke taint forced us to handle these grapes even more delicately than we usually would. We increased our tonnage but maintained the same level of production in 22. We pressed the grapes so gently that we barely saw juice run out of the press. While this is hard on the books, this is a boon for y''all. This is one of the most interesting Chardonnays we have made. This wine is almost a meal, but not in a bad way. Rich and creamy without lingering, unlike Thanksgiving dinner... It''s a conundrum in your mouth. We dare you to describe it.
